The Catholic School Council is happy to share that our first Fundraiser will be Mabel’s Labels! Please support our fundraiser by visiting the Mabel’s Labels website, select “support a fundraiser” and search for St Francis de Sales — we are the only school listed under Smiths Falls. 20% of each order is given back to the school to fund Catholic School Council Activities. In the past Catholic School Council has funded Scientists in the Classroom, Yoga, year-end trips, info evenings, 2 computers in the Learning Commons and many more activities that enrich the lives of our students!

Student Accident Insurance for life’s unexpected events.
Did you know that expenses from your child’s accident may exceed the benefits provided by your government and group insurance plans? Some expenses are not even insured under government and group insurance policies. So whether your child is involved in an accident at school or during non-school hours, insuremykids® helps protect your family’s finances!
The Platinum Plan, our best-selling plan, offers 24/7 coverage against accidental expenses including dental, ambulance, cast, prescription medication, and even out-of-province emergency medical fees.

To successfully run our Breakfast program at St. Francis, the students and staff rely on a number of individuals to volunteer. We are pleased to welcome back many returning volunteers for the 2019-2020 but there is always room for more. Specifically this year, we are looking for volunteers to help prep and serve breakfast on WEDNESDAYS. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the school at 613-283-6101 and we would be happy to connect you with our coordinator.
We would like to remind our families that all necessary school supplies for the upcoming year (pencils/crayons/erasers/glue etc.) will be provided by the school and shared amongst all students in class.
All students however do require a backpack, lunch bag, reusable water bottle (we are an ECO Gold certified school after all) and indoor shoes. For our friends in Junior and Senior Kindergarten, we also ask that you send in a change of clothes in a large, labelled ziplock bag as well as a small blanket in a cloth bag for rest time
Unfortunately this year, teachers will not be sending home letters to students this summer . All letters will be available with the Sneak Peek packages on August 28 from 1-5 pm.
Our school will be hosting a Sneak Peek for our parents on August 28th from 1-5pm
This is an opportunity for parents to find out who your child’s teacher is, pick up their agendas, school calendar and newsletter as well as lunch and milk order forms to name a few of the key items that we will be sending home in the package.
We’ve tried to gather as much of the paperwork to help ease the chaos of the first week of school. If you are unable to attend, the information will be sent home with your child on the first day of school.
Please find below the June 2019 edition of K News for New K’s for our 2019-2020 Kindergarten registrations.
